Gardening can be very enjoyable if you do not have to worry about insects. When you put harsh chemicals on your plants, it is never good for the environment.

Frogs and toads have always been attracted to gardens. However, to make sure they are you can add in a few essentials like water from a small garden pond or another type of water feature that they might enjoy. They are very good at controlling the unwanted insects in your garden. Ladybugs also can help to control other insects within your garden such as aphids. To draw more ladybugs into your garden try adding scented geraniums or dandelions.Another way to rid of unwanted pests is by adding in some ground beetles. These beetles feast on insects at night like slugs, cutworms and snails. They hide under stones and leafs during the day. These beetles have also been known to eat gypsy moths and caterpillars. To encourage these beetles to stay in your garden put out some stones and large rocks and plant some lasting plants in your garden for them to hide under. Birds are a good method of gardening pest control. They can keep caterpillars, slugs, grubs and aphids from getting on your plants by eating them. Lacewings will feed on aphids in your garden. They also like to eat other smaller pest that can damage your plants. For attracting bees, you should have pollen and nectar flowers in and around your garden. You should also have some source of water.Attracting predators as a means of gardening pest control is not that hard to do if you know how to do it. By doing some research and some careful planning you will be able to attract these predators in to take control of your unwanted insects.
When you plant flowers and do other things like add water sources into your garden it will bring in birds, frogs and beetles that you will be happy to invite into your garden.
