I don't think I could be happy without rosemary growing somewhere nearby. In the spring, summer, and fall, I grow it in containers near my herb garden, and then bring it indoors to over-winter before we get our first frost. It's not easy -- rosemary is finicky to say the least -- but it is more than worth it for the flavor it adds to food and the wonderful aroma the plant gives off. Sometimes, when I am missing summer, I crush a bit of rosemary between my fingers, and am reminded of working in my garden, and how I used to brush past the rosemary while watering, and that gorgeous aroma would fill the air.
Can you tell that I'm missing the gardening season already?
